ABOUT US
- BACKGROUND
Bukidnon Organic Products Corporation (BOPC) serves as the marketing link between some of the organic farmers and producers’ of Bukidnon, Agusan del Sur, Misamis Oriental & South Cotabato, and the growing market of consumers interested in organic produce.
BOPC was organized and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 20, 2000. This corporation was organized in response to the need for an effective marketing arm for organic rice farmers from the six targeted baranggays of Valencia, Bukidnon and the MAKAKABUS, a womens’ association. They are program beneficiaries of the Philippine Development Assistance Program (PDAP), and the Bukidnon Center for Sustainable Agriculture (BCSA).
March 8, 2002, BOPC opened Nature’s Bounty, the first organic health food store in Cagayan de Oro City. Nature’s Bounty also serves as venue to showcase products from BOPC’s partner farmers & peoples’ organizations.
